An innovative new product designed specifically to assist in hoof care and help prevent lameness in dairy cattle. It is the perfect surface to use for cow tracks, woodchip corrals, cattle pathways or stand-off pads.

Cow Trax has been proven to dramatically reduce cow lameness and improve the overall gait of dairy cows by applying it to corrals and cow walkways.

CowTrax is a clean, screened wood fibre that is virtually dust free and easy to apply.

Up to 50% of all dairy cattle show signs of lameness each year but almost all cows show signs of foot and hoof damage during their life. Lameness causes considerable hoof pain for cattle causing a lack of appetite resulting ultimately in a reduction of milk yield.

The contributing factors are mainly the abnormal size of the udder, the posture on the hind feet and also modern starchy high protein diets used to encourage high yields, cause acid based inflammatory substances to enter the blood resulting in hot, swollen and inflamed feet.

Cowtrax is available loose bulk in all load sizes by the cubic metre and it is also available in either 1 or 2 cubic metre bulk bags.
